It just keeps getting harder to find a good doctor!
For the last month or two I've been seeing a new doctor as my beloved G.P retired at 87 and he was excellent. The new doctor who I was just getting comfy with told me he had lost his licence for being "dangerous" ( He was also a pharmocatherapy doctor) Who knows what that means. So as all my perscriptions are finished and I really need my meds, I had to go see a doctor blind that was recommended by the receptionist at the current clinic.
I have been trying to no avail for a few years now to get a new referal for a good medicare psych as I have not got one currently and my last one three years ago had me on a tonn of different sedation, anti-anxiety meds and really heavy anti-depressants which did nothing to address my Bipolar. This is why I dropped him, I'd go in and for the whole ten minutes I was there he would fill my scripts without actually really teaching me anything or trying the anti psychotics I need. He even asked my mum to come in to give history (4 mins) and proceeded to ask her to fill out a medicare form! She refused of course. USELESS.
Back to the new doctor. I have a blood disorder which is currently causing heaps of hospital admissions to get blood and iron and a few other medical needs which we spent the consult going through. I did not even get to my bi polar so here I go again on the depressy go round. It is so frustrating. Stuff it. I should just see someone privatly. I'm gonna suffer for another six months un medicated and save up so I can have at leased a hand full of appointments with a decent G.P then psych.
I feel like I woud be better served changing my studies, getting a medical licence and doing psychiatry! I've been on this roller coaster longer than it would take already.
On a different tangent HaPpY HaLloWeEn everyone.
