The vWhite Room

The vWhite Room

White washed walls ring
in the songs of madness.
Neon lights, unseen eyes
Spies upon all this sadness.
Psychco memories will rise.
Who would choose,
one hundred billion
years of solitude?

We all hear in this safe place.
Cavernous corridors run in tears.
Stories of loneliness in here,
with fears of timeless griefs
locked inside everyone.
Stories of loneliness,
spaces to hide, confess, confide.
Long, held heart secrets of lives in time.

So a symphony of 10,000
souls speak.
Each being screams.
Within their boot-cut jeans.
Gifted from angels in heaven.
Conjured by all our Demons.
Dreamt of by madmen,
who just can't free us.

By Stan.

Hi @stan

Thank you for sharing your poem.

It stirred a lot of imagery.

Do you write a lot of poems? Is it a means of therapy for you?

Re: The vWhite Room

hi nik, thanks for your message. No, I don't write great deal of poetry these day. Writing is a passion and addiction for me - and yes, I guess a therapy. But everything seems a therapy these days - going for walk, bath, reading, music, films, games - all useful therapy for me. I'm writing children's stories at the mo featuring 'The Story Gobbler". How's things for you?

Stan 🙂

So true - everything you can do that you get some joy from is therapy!!

I use to be a school teacher, so I love children's books. They are really tough to write though - I think people assume they are easy!

Re: The White Room

Thanks for your messages appleblossom. Hope all is good with you.

I love stories. It is my considered belief our stories are the most potent force of energy in the Universe.

My work for over 20 years has been as an actor, director and teacher in theatre and education. Compelling, imaginative, often surprising, hopefully thought-provoking, always original storytelling has always been my passion.

Yeah, I did crash and burn from teaching, it was the stress. (Always gets me that thing called stress).

That's great about your x-hubby. Yeah, art is a powerful form of therapy - maybe because unlike the *straightjacket* of life there are no rules - its art there are no right or wrongs, anything goes! Any form of self-expression with no boundaries works for me.

On 'Breaking Bad' - I think it started to un-ravel for me when Jessie shot Gale. It was important for the story to develop but I just didn't buy that Jessie would have shot an innocent man - in the face! (hardcore). It was too much out of character for me.

But really enjoyed following Walt's transformation to the 'Dark Side".

At the moment I am in a state of tranquility!

Stan 🙂

Enjoy that state while it lasts

Good on you for having a vigorous creative side ... I am intellectually adventurous .. but physically cautious .. as I am physically disabled now.

I loved the integration of sciencey nerd ... disability issues .. honk y texan redneck ... not much into transformations into the dark side ... its existence is bad enough .. not my form of entertainment ...I liked the quirky intros and filmic and narrative style of each episode ... but can take it or leave it now.

I think BB is too hyped and American .. they just cant help themselves ... aye

I just connected on a few levels with it with my son .. my tv watching is mainly generated by him ... he was interested as his parents were both nerds .... I could talk science to him for a while ...

Re: The White Room

Thanks for message. Hey,sorry to hear that you have physical disability, a mental one is tough enough. Can relate to some extent a few years ago I broke both my feet (those psychotic episodes eh?)
Had to spend six months in bed at my parents - it was a bit like Hell!
How do you deal with your disability?
Yeah, moved onto 'The House Of Cards' with Kevin Spacey - I'm hooked.
Tranquility is slowly fading - I've been writing now for about two days straight!
Nothing wrong with Nerds. Some people might call me a Geek others a hermit others a schizo, other people call me a writer or poet or.. you get what i mean. I still go out and party.
What State are you in Appleblossom?
I keep getting messages on 14th year and housebound which are not for me but i'm not sure how to leave the thread? She is really having a tough time at the moment. Poor girl. It can be a real bitch at times.

Stay well,

Stan 🙂

Re: The White Room

I asked the question first - a Labile State - orf physical or mental or financial or ... weight or skin

Yes I know what you mean.

To disconnect from a thread click on your name ... and the moderator icons ... when a menu pops up which includes subs and notifications you can control it.

I believe that aspect of the SANE site should be more clearly sign posted for users.
