I always allow at least an hour to be left on hold. I usually complete jigsaws on my iPad whilst I wait.

I’ve been trying to phone Centrelink for months and haven’t been able to get through even once. I usually give up somewhere between the 50th and 70th redial and try again later—to no avail.
It’s sad when being on hold for more than an hour seems so desirable.

The average wait time for me was about an hour and a half! So very annoying but the best time to call is first thing in the morning I found, sometimes the wait was only half an hour if I was lucky! @Former-Member
