Anxiety, ADD, Depression and sexual abuse victim

Anxiety, ADD, Depression and sexual abuse victim

I was 5 years old when someone that was meant to be close to me decided to take me into corners and make me do things that i wasn't aware of . This lasted 2 years and since then i held the disgust for myself because i didn't nothing to stop it. Since then the idea of anyone touching me makes me anxious and i fear that any partner i have would end up being disgusted. I also come from an abusive family which till recently i could not admit because i did not understand what abuse was. How does one find an incentive to keep on going? My ADD, Depression and anxiety make me want to end it all.

Hi Chinna,

Welcome to the Sane Forums and thank you for sharing a bit of your painful story of abuse and mental illness. I was concerned to read that your distress and anxiety sometimes make you feel like ending it all.

I will email you some details of helplines and crisis services if you need immediate support.

The experiences of childhood abuse you have had, are similiar to many members here and Im sure they will chat with you in time. It's so hard to recover from such betrayal and a lack of safety. I hope you have access to counselling support and a good GP.

Keep posting as you wish to and it's a good idea to read the forum guide here when you have time, to get familiar with forum guidelines.

Kind reagrds,

Frog
