this place is confusing but at least distracting....

I do not understand how one contributor can have 1286 views in 30 minutes and then also have 1581 likes. I joined this site in 2015 but left because I felt there was a "clique" but I thought I would come back because it could have been my 'issue'.

But I have realised tonight, with such a strange 'view' and 'like' that something is a bit wrong about how this site is run.

This site shouldn't/isn't to be about likes. I thought it was about support. I understand that you have a core group who have worked together for a long time.

But I needed support tonight from some-one who may even have close to my pain. And I think nearly every mum here has felt guilt, for not being who she wanted to be.

So, anyway, thats all I can say. You can see my other posts in the other areas.

And I would like to join a group of people that understand......

Welcome back @Joccie I'm glad you have joined in again!

I don't think many people take much notice of the number of likes or views they have received. From the feedback I have heard, often people give 'likes' to symbolise their solidarity, support, agreement or to just let the member know they have been heard. Some have shared they also give likes when they are unwell and can't respond, but just want that member to know they are 'there with them'

Thank you Nik Nik. I don't do face book or instagram. Just not who I am. And I'm good with that, not something that makes a difference to my life 🙂

I do remember reading some posts a couple of years ago that other members, didn't need to be 'social' all of the time.

I like books and music, just not to be around lots of people.

I find the site confusing as well. I came over from BlueBoard when it closed, and it was a very simple and clear layout, and this one is so "busy", I get lost on it.

There are many very supportive people here, though, and although it may appear to be cliques, I think it is just that they are the ones who have become familiar and comfortable with the sites layout.

Not sure if that's any help.
