So this other patient just gave me a massive rant how trans is bad and that people should never go on hormones and should just accept the body their born with. Um no, don't you get the whole I hate my birth gender body, there's a reason I want it to match my gender. Fuck he sounded like my mother
And all the f*cking nurses in hospital don't get it, some purposely call me by my birth name. I'm not that pathetic person anymore, she was weak, my name is _____ please use it. I swear I'm right that they are just here to make me worse. I f*cking hate hospital

Re: Angry

Go ahead and swear. I swear daily. What I have learnt in life not every person will accept you. Not everyone is going to have the same views as you. And yes it stucks big time when they attack something your 100% about. But I just look at it like this. 1 they have a right to their opinions and so do I. 2. They live in a bubble world and have not really searched for truth or ever tried to understand the other persons point. So why waste time on the stupid.

I'm assuming the nurses have to call you by your legal name. Crapy yes.

Re: Angry

@Former-Member he was deliberately attacking me about it. I know people are entitled to their own opinions but it still hurts.
They don't have to call me by that name, most nurses are good at calling me by my preferred name. And I'm in the process of changing it legally so soon they shouldn't have an excuse.

Re: Angry

Well he obviously needs an activity. sucks when people hurt you. I understand you can only build a wall so high and sometimes a little tiny person gets in. Just remember you know who you are. He has no clue about who you are nor a right to think he dose.

That's good some nurses call you by your preferred name. Hopefully you can address this tomorrow and like to be identified as the person you are.

Re: Angry

My goodness @redheaded ! it sounds like some of the nurses need some training and professional development.

I'm not sure if you will have an opportunity to give feedback (I'm sure most places have a complaint process), but there are organisations (govt and NGOs) that offer diversity training. Here is just one example.

I bet this is the last thing you need right now!
