Looking for your feedback on: Antipsychotic Medication Factsheet

Looking for your feedback on: Antipsychotic Medication Factsheet

Hi everyone,

Here at SANE we think it's critical to have our content reviewed by carers and people with lived experience.

We are looking for feedback on our current Antipsychotic Medication Factsheet

It doesn't matter what level of experience or understanding you have on this topic. If you have experience, you can give us feedback on how close it aligns to your understanding and knowledge. If you don't have experience, you can let us know if there's information missing that you want to know more about and if the content is easy to understand. The main feedback we're looking for is:

  1. Is the information easy to understand?
  2. Is there any language that is jarring or confusing?
  3. Is there anything missing that you’d like to know more about?
  4. Any other thoughts?

We are looking to have all the feedback collated by Monday 22 May. If you have any questions in the meantime, please @mention me (ie: @NikNik) and I will jump in and answer anything I can!

Thanks,

Nik

@NikNik This seems like another little challenge/project I can get into this week - keep them coming - it does help me to be doing something useful and using my 'brain' at the same time.

Hello @NikNik this paragraph

Experiences vary: all antipsychotic drugs are designed to do the same thing — reduce psychotic symptoms and keep them away — but they’re known to affect people in different ways, so your experience of taking them will be unique to you.

Is not really correct, antipsychotics can also be used to augment antidepressants or antianxiety in some cases, this is done without psychotic behaviour being present, maybe check with one of the psychiatrists on your board/committee.

Further in the fact sheet it does say they improve mood and reduce anxiety, which is the part I mean.
