Looking for your feedback on: Antipsychotic Medication Factsheet

Looking for your feedback on: Antipsychotic Medication Factsheet

Hi everyone,

Here at SANE we think it's critical to have our content reviewed by carers and people with lived experience.

We are looking for feedback on our current Antipsychotic Medication Factsheet

It doesn't matter what level of experience or understanding you have on this topic. If you have experience, you can give us feedback on how close it aligns to your understanding and knowledge. If you don't have experience, you can let us know if there's information missing that you want to know more about and if the content is easy to understand. The main feedback we're looking for is:

  1. Is the information easy to understand?
  2. Is there any language that is jarring or confusing?
  3. Is there anything missing that you’d like to know more about?
  4. Any other thoughts?

We are looking to have all the feedback collated by Monday 22 May. If you have any questions in the meantime, please @mention me (ie: @NikNik) and I will jump in and answer anything I can!

Thanks,

Nik

Re: Looking for your feedback on: Antipsychotic Medication Factsheet

Is the information easy to understand?

Yes.

Is there any language that is jarring or confusing?

I find a little ambiguous the part that reads: "...antipsychotics don’t make you feel happy no matter what. You’ll still feel normal ups and downs in your emotions." When I first read this, I took it to mean that, under no circumstances, will antipsychotics make you feel happy and that they, perhaps, have no effect whatsoever on mood. This does not really seem to be the intent of the overall written piece. Later in the sheet there is mention of how anti-psychotics may improve mood, which I believe is true from my own experience and is what is really meant. Hope that makes sense!

Is there anything missing that you’d like to know more about?

Not that I can think of.

Any other thoughts?

Other than the above, it all reads fine to me.
