Anxiety once a month....

Anxiety once a month....

My period is slowing down and I'm experiencing intense anxiety before they arrive. I don't know what to do. I get agitated and overwhelmed. Would my gp be able to help me or do I just have to live with it?

Hi @janedoe2. A visit to the GP to talk about what you are going through sounds like a really good idea. They may well be able to help you with this. Kind wishes.

@janedoe2. Definately go and see your gp. You do not have to live with this. I'm currently in peri-menopause, and I think i might start keeping a journal of my cycles and my moods. I have a feeling my hormones aren't helping with my moods lately.

Let us know how you get on with your doctor.

Hi there @janedoe2

That sounds really uncomfortable, I would try the GP option as well as making a journal to keep track of these felings so you can be assured it is because of your period and not other things. I feel quite irritable before mine so I just try to look after myself more, relax at home and do nice things 🙂
