I am really agitated and i feel like i am about to snap at everyone which i dont want to do over easter but i dont know what to do i am also really depressed and i want to cry and i am having a lot of self harm thoughts which i also dont want to do over eaaster. how do i get a bit more control over these thoughts and feelings?
When I'm feeling like that @Eden1919 the only thing that works for me is the medication. Have you been taking your meds?

Re: Agitation
Afyer easter it might be a good idea to talk to your doctor to see if any medications need changing or the dosages increased.
Try to stay as calm as possible and sleep as much as you can. Hugzzz 💕

Re: Agitation
I find that physical exercise helps me when I feel super agitated. It burns up the energy that might otherwise come out as me exploding at somebody. It can also be a useful way of dealing with urges to SH. Because I'm amazingly unfit, doing a push-up or trying to do a plank for a minute really taxes me physically, which produces the same endorphin hit as SH.

Re: Agitation
Hi @Eden1919, like phoenix_rising suggested, doing anything physical can help me burn off energy/agitation. I have also found writing helpful in the past too. Picking up a pen or pencil and trying to get some of that inside stuff out on paper is an idea. Sometimes if I'm feeling it and it's dark or late or I don't want to get up to get a pen and paper, I pick up my phone and type myself an email, not worrying about whether it makes any sense or is even complete sentences. I sort of imagine that I am putting the difficult or uncomfortable thoughts/feelings/ideas somewhere else (rather than inside me) for a bit while I am writing. Doing something with that energy kind of helps me feel more in control of it.
Hope you're feeling better soon.

Re: Agitation
I have found that being able to take some calming meds on a prn basis very helpful.
prn means 'as needed'
The extra med gets me through the crisis and then I can lower it when I feel better, without relying on seeing mh care people. It might take a little time to establish trust to be abvle to set up such an arrangement, but it could be worth mentioning that too, not just a total medication change.
