grief and the aniversary of a loved one

grief and the aniversary of a loved one

ok so its coming up to the time when i lost my nan.

she was my best friend and the person i was closet to. she pretty much raised me and was my biggest 'fan' who always loved what i did and what i was doing.

she was always there for me

i was her carer and unfortunateley my last memeories of her werent the best and being 18 when she went it wasnt the easiest thing for me

its coming up to the date that she passed and also the dates of some of the sad and distressing memories i have of her passing and events leading up to it

im just wondering how other people cope with this?

Hey my friend @Former-Member
When anniversaries come up for me or even birthdays of a loved one that I've lost I try to think of the good times we had. I still cry for them and it can be difficult at times. With your gran - did she hzve a favourite flower or plant. Perhaps you could buy those same flowers and put a photo of her next to them with a besutuful candle lit. Just sit and reflect on the good times both of you had. I know it's going to be hard fir you but I think that's what I would do if I was close to my grandmas. It's beautiful to read that you had a close relationship with your nan. A special bond that no one can take away. Unfortunately I wasn't close to my grandmas. But I still miss mine.
I'll be thinking of you beautiful. BB ❤❤❤

Yeah the series of events is distressing then birthday then another 3 distressing events then her death. She died two weeks after her birthday.
Her favourite flower was a pink rose and i always buy some and take them to her headstone. On her birthday and at least once a week if its not pink roses itll be just a big bunch of mixed flowers
