Managing thoughts of suicide & self-harm

No Closure, no respect, cptsd and bullying

No Closure, no respect, cptsd and bullying

I experienced very severe bullying at a mental health service last year

Barely made it out alive

I was unwell and suicidal and it seems ppl just leached ont to me, with bad advice, projecting some kind of fantasy of them as a "helper" and then being cruel in my most vulnerable moments. These ppl took more than they gave, and destroyed my self esteem.

I cut everyone off, isoalted myself, and rebuilt. I am now in an amazing mental health service. I have the appropriate care, a case manager, a psychologist, and a safe place to live.

But i dont haev anyone to share it with :(

I left it all behind to start again

How many times do you recreate your life?

Does it get better?

Hey @EternalFlower

I can't imagine the strength it would've taken to start again. I really hope that you feel the forums community here with you through this and in that sense know that you're not alone.

I'm sorry that you've been through this/ continue to go through it, but I'm glad you're here and able to share

@Ru-bee sadly i dont feel supported in the forums, most conversations dont go very far, so its quite a jolt posting here. I am trying to start again, but I trip up, i get a lot of flashbacks. I am also an ndis partciapnt so unfortnately some ppl utilised my funds to giev this bad advice, and i ended up witohut support. However, i made a really close friend through the process who helped me and i managed to turn it around. But so much wasted time. I find the forums a bit exhausting atm, as i can't figure out whre ppl are. THere are so many new posters, but not many familiar faces.

I hear you @EternalFlower changes can be pretty destabilizing and it can take some time to find your feet again. It's understandable to feel exhausted if navigating on here and reaching out feels harder after the changes, I encourage you to go gently and make sure to give yourself time if being on here feels like too much.

That's really disappointing with the NDIS funds. I know that it can take some trial and error to find the right support/information/services but when that comes at the cost of funding that could have been used elsewhere it gets very frustrating. I'm glad that you were able to come away with a close friend though, what a silver lining
