Hey there @Cp,
A warm welcome and thanks for sharing your experiences with the community!
We hear that you've been experiencing some heavy thoughts recently. It takes courage to share your experiences with the community, and you are being really brave reaching out to your peers - you don't have to cope on your own. I'm sure that the community will have some insights to share with you soon!
We wonder if you are able to share with the community a little more information around how you are staying safe tonight? Engaging in distracting activities like reading, watching your favorite show, doing creative tasks like drawing or colouring in, can be really helpful in allowing our minds to just settle a bit.
As we mentioned earlier, you are not ever expected to cope with this alone, so we encourage you to connect with one of the services for more one-on-one support:
Lifeline: Phone - Call 13 11 14
Chat – Visit https://www.lifeline.org.au/crisis-chat/
Suicide Callback Service: Call 1300 659 467
Chat – Visit https://www.suicidecallbackservice.org.au/
And if you need immediate emergency support - 000
For some ongoing support, you could also look into our Recovery Club program:

We're sending strength your way, take gentle care of yourself tonight 💛

Hi @Cp
I’m sorry to hear that things have been so tough for you recently. You are not alone. Gratitude can be really helpful for living a brighter life. It might be hard to start when everything feels bad but the more you practice the easier to do it. Distractions can help the moment pass. Opposite action (where you do the opposite of what you feel like you want to do. E.g. instead of lying in bed, get up and do something) can also be useful. Talking to someone can also help if you have someone you trust.

I do want to talk to people but I don't want it to be people that I know because I don't want it to affect how people see me
