Dealing with brain fog

Dealing with brain fog

My partner took his life 10months ago I'm struggling to cope with lack of sleep and brain fog. Financially I'm struggling and need to work but I am unable to think clearly?

Welcome to the forums @cola82 ,

I'm sorry to hear about your loss. It must be so hard to stay on top of things.

What you are feeling is not uncommon. Do you have any supports you can lean on at this time?

Hey @cola82

I’m really sorry for your loss. It makes complete sense to be struggling to cope. That is a massive trauma to experience. Do you have anyone you can talk to? Would you be willing to see your GP or a psychologist/counsellor? This community is here for you.

Re: Dealing with brain fog

hi, im sorry for your loss and that youre going through a hard time. ive heard a lot online that there are a bunch of magnesium supplements (powders to mix and drink or oil sprays) that can help you fall asleep. i tried the spray last night and i had uninterrupted sleep for the first time in a few weeks. have you tried those?

Hi @cola82 please consider calling Standby https://standbysupport.com.au/

it’s Australia’s government funded free suicide postvention service, supporting anyone impacted by suicide. They will come to you for a chat, keep in touch by phone to see if you need additional support, and can provide free suicide-specific counselling.

Sorry to hear your situation.

I second what @speedstar has said. That can help. I just found Healthy Care L theanine, magnesium and ashwaghanda blend is pretty good to take the edge off. Does not leave you groggy but slows down the nervous system and keeps a lid on things. Quite cheap also at Chemiost Warehouse.

Thoughts with you and all the best
