Jealous of sane people
I recently went on holiday with my friends but had to come back early due to bipolar. I’m trying to reach out and see pictures from their trip or just talk to them or hear from them or even just say “can you call me?” But none of them want to talk to me because of boundaries - I guess? I’m trying to reality test / maybe they don’t want to brag about the great time they had to their mentally ill friend. No, that’s not reality. A good friend would send a picture, give me a call, at least tell me what happened. The stigma of this illness is so isolating. I feel like a freak at all times while having to smile and nod and act normal. It makes me so sad when the easily solution would be to be treated with respect / or even curiousity like a “hey want to talk on the phone in five minutes?” But nowadays I can’t even schedule in time to ask that. I miss the old days.
