Parenting communication issues

Parenting communication issues

Just less than 2 years ago my ex ended our nearly 20 year relationship. We have 3 children 19, 18 and 12 year old. After he left I had to make an extremely difficult decision to move my daughter and myself several hours away from our home town and family support system. Since it ended I have struggled with his lack of direct communication about visitation with our youngest daughter. He will text me with round about dates that he can see our daughter but when it comes to actual days and times for pick up and drop offs I'm only receiving second hand information from my mother in law or our daughter. I have asked that he message me directly but my requests have been ignored. I don't want this to become an issue, however I do feel that as the Mother of his children I at least deserve to be told directly when my child will be picked up and dropped off. I welcome any suggestions on how to deal with my situation.

Have you tried mediation? We did mediation for my then 18mth old and found it helpful.

how does your daughter feel about her contact with her dad?

Re: Parenting communication issues

My daughter is okay with contact with her Dad, they speak regularly on the phone and video chat and she's always happy to spend time with him when she can.

I don't believe he would agree to mediation.
