Re: feel behind

Hello, I’ve just read your post. I’m 29 and I’m in the same boat. My younger brother is just about to have his first child with his partner and I’m feeling so left behind and that just mine and his life is a competition and he seems to always win. I hate it!

Hi @cocoloco1

I too suffer from Cptsd and it sux. Not everyone at 26 is having children. Though I completely get where you are coming from. Focusing on yourself and getting better is way more important. What kind of therapy have you had for your trauma?

Re: feel behind

Hey there,

I’m so sorry you feel that way. 😢

I’m 36 and I feel exactly the same, I felt that way when I was 26 too. I’m sure you’re an amazing human!

You’ve been through a lot. First of all give yourself credit for that. It shows strength and determination.

You are you and that is amazing. We all do things at a different pace.

Re: feel behind

Hi @cocoloco1

It’s completely understandable to be comparing yourself to other (even though it’s not the best idea, it’s easy to do). I’m sure you have accomplished something no matter how small. Even simply being alive after everything you have been through is huge. Give yourself some credit. Your timeline is your own as are you experiences. Do you have anyone you can talk to about how you feel?
