Impacting my wellbeing

Impacting my wellbeing

Hi all,

I’m new to this space but feeling pretty alone at the moment as well as flat and depressed. I find this time of the year (even know I’m now living in a hot climate) always impacts how I feel - winter. I also wonder if perimenopause is starting to impact as well as its physical symptoms (like waking up anxious through the night) are starting to happen.

Wondered if anyone had any thoughts and advice on how to deal with times like these.

Hi @perimenopause92

Firstly, welcome to the Forums! We're so pleased to have you join the community.

That sounds really difficult and lonely - It could be worth speaking with your GP about the changes you've noticed and whether Perimenopause may also be contributing. You can also call Beyond Blue on 1300 22 4636 for free, 24/7 support with anxiety and low mood.

Other members may have some suggestions or their own experiences to share with you too, I hope you find some support and connection here.

Re: Impacting my wellbeing

Hey @perimenopause92

I’m sorry you’re feeling alone currently. It’s not a good way to live. Feeling flat and depressed also sucks. As @Honeymoon on suggested, seeing a GP may be a good place to start. They can address the possible perimenopause and support your mental health. Do you have anyone you’d like to be in contact with? Any friends you’d like to see? Sometimes reaching out for connection is a necessary step.
