One way friendship like a one way street.

One way friendship like a one way street.

Hellooooooo friendz

In a real world, friendship works both ways. Think standing on a two way street. Where traffic is going both directions. In a real world that same two way street is identical to what a friendship should look like. As in two friends, there for each other. When one needs help the other does so without being asked. Doesn't expect anything in return. When one needs to talk the other wil listen. When one needs assistance or guidence the other will be there to do what needs to be done. When one has their world crumbling down around them, the other will be there to help and pick up the pieces.

That two way friendship and two way street, is not what I am or ever have experienced with this particular one friend.

It has always been me who gives, helps, listens and be there. Ask me as you know I can neva say no. Right now I am at breaking point. How do I deal with the suitation knowing exactly how I feel?? Do I say nothing and walk off into the distance. Do I ignore calls, delete message without readin. And not open emails both personal and work email from friend.

Not once, never ever have I been in situations like I am rite now. Have no idea what I should or shouldn't do, what I should or shouldn't say to this friend.

Please helpppppppp, any advice be great thanking you.🙏

@LostInDarkness Helloooooooooooo there :)

I just wanted to jump in say hello and tell you that I see you and hear you!

I can't "tell" you what to do, say or how you should feel but I totally get where you are coming from.

Sorry I don't have anything clever or profound to offer but I want you to know that you are not alone.

Sending you all my best and brightest this afternoon.

Thank you for sharing so openly and honestly with us, we are glad you're here.

HhXx

Hello there @hopeful_hannah

Thank you for taking the time to read and reply to my post.

It really does mean so much to know somone else understands and knows what I am and continue to do in my one way friendship.

Nothing is forever and right now thats how I see this friendship. Ending, cos I cant keep being the friend I am and have been .

Re: One way friendship like a one way street.

i have cut friends out of my life before. I've had people who call or message me all the time to complain about their life, and they dont ask how I am...or if they do, its only so i can respond "I'm good. How are you?" and then they start up about how bad they are. There have been times where I have been REALLY struggling and so depressed and still listening to a friend complain on the phone.

These people are users. A friend needs to care about and support you too. These 'friends' just drain you and make you miserable.

It's ok to take a break from a friendship, or to end it completely if you feel thats whats best.
