Feeling lost in life after mum passed away

Feeling lost in life after mum passed away

Im not sure where to start. But im really struggling to get threw life after my mum died to bowel cancer a year ago. I tried keeping busy and keep my mind going but its the flash backs and all the thing I had to do looking after her. Leaving my job with having a morgage, changing her stoma backs no sleep showering her

Now I just feel guilty my life is moving on and I just feel sad and depressed all the time, not going to work not eating well.

Feeling like wats the point in life anymore and feeling im going to do something stupid to my self.

I dont know wat to do....

Re: Feeling lost in life after mum passed away

I lost my mum to bowel cancer in 2007. I had been diagnosed with severe depression the year before. I left my full-time job so I could spend more time with her and instead distanced myself, I think I thought I would have more time but she was diagnosed in March and gone by July. I still live will guilt and I wonder what life would be like if I hadn't lost my mum when I was 22.

Im sick of feeling like everyone leaves me and mourning her death as well as that life I could've had. I just signed up for the recovery thing on here as I lost another person and broke 💔.

Please know you are not alone @Sickofbeingsad . It sounds so so hard right now. And whilst avoidance helps for a time, I hope you find a way through this so you can live the life you want and deserve.

Hi, my mum passed away a few weeks ago from ovarian cancer. I’m so sorry you feel like giving up . I have been there in that dark place in the past . I know it’s worth keeping on going. Emotions are like weather they do pass . It won’t always feel the way it does now . You are not alone . Sending love Xx
