How do you continue on when you have been told ypur child at 34 years is terminal.
The pain is indescribable and what it has done to my mental health may be irreversible.
Any advice is appreciated .

Hello@Badgergirl,
So sorry to hear this. This must be very traumatic for you and your child. No one deserves this. Reach out to support groups in your area to lean on. Please be extra gentle on yourself and spend all the time you can with your child. Sending many hugs.

Hi @Badgergirl, welcome to the forums. I’m so sorry you’re facing this. Being told that your child is terminal must be an incredibly painful and overwhelming thing to try to process, and it makes sense that you’re struggling with your mental health alongside everything else
There probably aren’t words that can make this pain disappear, but you don’t have to carry it all on your own. Do you have people around you who are supporting you at the moment, or a professional such as a counsellor or psychologist you can lean on?
Please be gentle with yourself and take things one day, or even one moment, at a time. You’re going through something incredibly difficult, and it’s okay to need support 💛

Hi @Lauracroft, I’m so incredibly sorry for the loss of your daughter. I can only imagine how painful this time must be, especially losing your only biological child. Thank you for sharing this with us, particularly while you’re going through such a devastating loss
I hope you have some people around you who can support you through this difficult time. If you feel you need some additional support, it may also be worth reaching out to a grief counsellor or another professional who can support you through your loss. You don’t have to go through this alone
We’re glad to have you here in the community, and I hope you’re able to find some comfort and connection with others who understand 💛
