Hi magnus62 and welcome I feel your loss and grief as my husband went into hospital and never came home due to sepsis within a week. That happened 7 years the memories never fade. I've only been on sane a couple of weeks I've found these people to be very supportive, caring with good advice thrown in. Yes the pain is huge wondering if you are going make through the day, perhaps just 1 tiny step at a time also may I suggest you make appointment with your GP to talk over things even therapy to help get you through this grieving process.

I lost my husband almost 20 years ago and what you are feeling is quite normal for such a huge loss. I couldn’t eat or sleep either and that’s the horror of grief. You feel as if your soul has been ripped out.

I hope you have friends and family to look out for you during this time. Try not to push them away as their love will help you.

I promise you will smile again but for now this is your grief journey and we are here with you.

I am truly sorry for your loss. I hope it brings you comfort to know that you are not alone. There is no timeline for grief unfortunately. Do you have anyone you can talk to? Sometimes sharing memories shifts the focus away from the pain. Please feel free to share about your wife if you think it would be helpful.
