Returning to work post partum and wprried people judging the baby brain

Returning to work post partum and wprried people judging the baby brain

Hey all, new here.

I have recently returned to work as a paramedic. I am currently 16 months

post partum, and I still have baby brain. Since coming back I have been partnered with educators, and I am terrified they think I am doing poorly. They assure me I am not, its just for support since I had a year off. My brain is not as calm as it was prior. I'm worried this paranoia is going to make me perform poorly.

Hello @Trixiebobby welcome to forums. Its nice to have you.

Be gentle with yourself. You have returned to a demanding job after a significant life change, and its completely normal to feel rusty at first. The educators are there because you have been away for a year, not because you are doing anything wrong. Trust their feedback more than your anxiety.

From what you have shared, it sounds like you are doing better than you think you are. Confidence often takes longer to come back than competence. ❤️
