Hello @LilyEvans and welcome.
The forums are glitchy at present and I can't reply directly to your post. I hope you see this.
Big kudos to you, your friends and teachers for noticing something's not quite right. That took insight and courage.
Please forgive me if I'm too direct.
Your experience reminds me of the build up to my psychotic episodes. The good news is if you catch it early it's very treatable. 1 in 3 people never have another episode, others usually cope reasonably well with medication.
@DogMan79 recommended Headspace. They'd be expert at diagnosing and treating young adults - most first episodes are between 15 and 25. But your GP is also a gatekeeper to local community services and further referrals.
Yes I understand and sympathise with the paranoia and difficulty articulating and explaining what's happening. Not all GPs "get it" so Headspace could be a good choice. I have no knowledge of the kids Helpline.
Please be reassured that a diagnosis isn't the end of the world and social life, study and work will still be there. But a bad psychotic break can be very scary and involuntary hospital stays are good to avoid.
Big hugs, I hope things go well for you.
I'll tag @RiverSeal in case they're rostered on soon.
Take care.
