Another day drags on by

Another day drags on by

So here I am, another day and my mind is racing as usual. I have schizophrenia, major depression, adhd, anxiety and ocd for context.

I've had med changes yet every day is the same as the last. Work, drink, overthink and procrastinate about what I think I should be doing or probably should be doing to keep life on track yet the consistency of looking over my shoulder to see what my mind tells my is someone following me gets rather draining. I know I'm not alone but give me a break.

I've had my partner move in withib the last 6 mmonths which I cherish and enjoy yet everyday i feel overwhelmed and find myself pouring another drink just to feel something, anything, an emotion to fill the void of feeling empty.

I am also i but reckless with money. I find myself scrolling the net for things to purchase (99% of it i don't need, yet here we are)

Where do I go from here, is this what living is meant to feel like. Work, sleep, drink, medicate and repeat. Its feeling like Groundhog day 99% of the time. Maybe I need some time of social media and off the grog surrounded by family and friends.

I even drempt about attending an AA meeting last week, which I think is saying something in it's self ...

Hey @GR_088

I’m glad you’re still here. The dream sounds like a sign, and sounds like a good idea too! Would your partner be able to support you in getting you to a meeting?

It’s scary when we feel like that overwhelm is never going to leave us and that everyday is going to be the same. I’ve had times when I thought the same but now, I’m a completely different version to who i used to be- it was hard, it took a lot of effort but the journey was so worth it. I hated myself and my life sooooooo much and now I’m actually quite proud of who i am. I very much relate to wanting to do things but feeling so so paralysed by my own thoughts to take action. Then doing nothing makes us feel more shit. But please know that this also makes you human. You are worthy of support and you are capable of having the life you want. It will be hard but will also be worth it.

I can’t find the image of the quote I wanted to share but I’ll type it out:

I want to do it but I’m scared.

Then do it scared.

I believe in you.
