Something’s not right

Scared shirtless

Scared shirtless

So I had my normal, every-five-years cervical screening that they do now about two months ago. About ten days ago I got called in to repeat it.

now it’s 1:30am and I’ve just seen a voicemail from the surgery saying I need to see my doctor (I don’t currently actually have my own go right now either) within 48 hours re those results…

Ive already had cells from the big C lasers off my cervix when I was 19-20ish…

Hello @LilithLucy, I can't even imagine how scared you would be feeling at the moment. Getting a message like that is enough to send anyone's anxiety through the roof let alone if you've had cells removed previously. Being the middle of the night makes it even harder as there's that waiting game until you can ring to make an appointment. I know it's hard but try to remember that there could be a few different reasons as to why they would want you to make an appointment within 48 hours, it doesn't always mean worst case scenario. Know that we are here for you no matter what sweet, sending you some gentle hugs ❤️.

Morning 🥱 @MissGremlin

surprise surprise I’m still awake 🫠

Fortunately though I could book my appointment through an app. I could only get one appointment in the entire clinic in the next 48 hours. It’s a male doctor but he’s okay I’ve seen him before..

they told me it was HPV (not 16 or 18) but now I’m wondering if it was something else I’m scared

@LilithLucy I'm not surprised that you are still awake, it's tough getting news like that at anytime but the middle of the night our thoughts can really get the better of us. I'm really glad that you have been able to make an appointment and I hope it goes ok sweet.

Being told that it's HPV is a little reassuring as it can be very common. Fingers crossed it's something easily treated sweetheart, we are here with you ❤️.

That sounds so stressful @LilithLucy . It's certainly so scary to get that call. It's no wonder sleep was taken away. It is absolutely natural to be feeling this way.

Please know we are here for you. There is always someone on line on the forums 24/7

@MissGremlin @tyme

I had CIN 3 cells lasered off when I was in my early 20’s. I’ve had a cancerous tumour in my face, I don’t want to have to have my third lot of cancer removed when I’m only 40. Nup! 🫠🙃😮‍💨

@LilithLucy hearing you sweet. I'm sorry you've had to go through having cells removed already and I'm really hoping that it's not the case this time. Sending you hugs ❤️

Hey @LilithLucy ,

Thinking of you. How are you going this weekend?

Do you have to wait long for your appointment re the results or more tests?

Hope you are okay.
