Pathological ambivalence - so stuck
Hello,
Does anyone have any experience with pathological ambivalence?
I recently had a psychotic episode, which is mostly resolved, however now I am not able to take action on anything in my life.
I can't take action to get on a train to go home to my parents place. I can't take action to get on a plane. I can't decide to get my hair cut or even to have a shower. I am just frozen in space. And although it is a freeze, my nervous system doesn't feel all that dysregulated. I am just unable to move forward in any way. Except to do the most basic things such as eat or sleep.
Does anyone know if there is medication that can help with pathological ambivalence, or anything that can be done to try to get out of this funk?
If I go back to my parents' place I will simply lie in bed and do nothing. I need some way to get out of this funk.
Thanks in advance for your help.
