apparently its very common but i swear i never hear anyone talk about it in everyday life, maybe its because i grew up in a community where mental health was a taboo topic but my fear of driving as a risk averse person is my hurdle against getting my drivers license

I can relate to this, I am quite an anxious driver and have had times where I've shared my anxieties related to driving and have just been met with blank faces. While my anxiety hasn't prevented me from driving, it does make it very challenging pretty much every time I drive. Having said that, it does get a little easier, little by little I think
Have you ever considered talking to a counsellor about this?

i used up all my counselling sessions for the year and while i do have a mental health care plan im not sure when ill be able to get another appointment let alone with a psychologist i have strong chemistry with

@moodyahhhhh hi hun i drove for many years and then my mental illness struck and then the meds made my hands shake and i felt i couldnt rely upon my good driving track record anymore because of the shaking so i stopped. even now if i think of driving again i immediately get anxiety so driving is a thing of the past for me i am afraid. its a bugger but for me there i believe is no choice.
