Helping Family, turns in to mental nightmare
I've been holding back on this for over a week and I can't take being silent anymore!!
I'm a paranoid schizophrenic who for the last 4 months, have been helping my ex partner and so with moving and sorting of their belongings. Helped them move in to my place with my elderly father temporarily until they find another home.
Since the beginning, I have been made out to be to problem as to why things weren't sorted/packed earlier, worked tirelessly moving between storage, my home and her old home, whilst working night shifts at a warehouse. I have had more nights crying from exhaustion and stress than I have had sleep, no help from anyone and expected to keep going. All the moving finished last week, and what happens...they take over my and my father's home. My ex refuses to speak to my father and vice versa, the relationship between the two has been negative to say the least with me working as a bridge between them and their arguments. So when my ex wants something one way, my father needs it another. I am worried about my son being caught up in this mess as he has a condition that needs a stable routine. One that I am having an impossible time figuring by myself. And while I still come home to them, listen to the problems and try to sort things out without judgement or prejudice, both seems to fall on me no matter what. I have been the blame for everyone's problems for too long. I accept where I am at fault with my responsibilities, but my ex seems like she is justified with how she treats me, my father or my home. No respect or care for boundaries and causing g my father and myself greater anxiety every night. I'm afraid of working at nights now as I am away from a home that's now not safe mentally. My home as a schizophrenic, my world away from troubles, now being used as a place for venting and blame.
I am tired, I can't think or speak properly. I n ow this is coming out like the worst word salad and there is a lot more for the context. I'll be adding as I go along. Thank you for listening.
