A Wandering. A Wandering. A Wandering Has My Parcel Gone.
I'm waiting on a parcel that was sent from Sydney on the 3rd of November. On the Australia Post tracking page, I have watched it wander around until finally settling down in Stafford for a while.
Problem is that Australia Post won't let you notify them of a delayed parcel, not that is until ten days past the expected delivery date. But, on the last day it is expected to arrive, they reset the clock at midnight. Clever little Australia Post.
So, I just left this message for them on their Facebook page, along with my tracking number. I hope some of you enjoy reading it.
A WANDERING. A WANDERING. A WANDERING WE WILL GO.
On November 3rd my parcel headed off in fine spirits from Sydney to the Brisbane sorting facility. From there it visited the Toowong facility, before moving on to Stafford. Arriving there on the 5th, it lingered for a while before inexplicably vanishing.
On the 7th it reappeared and I think it must have really enjoyed the Toowong facility, because it headed back there again. Still restless though, it wasn't long before it once more returned to Stafford. Then, for a bit of variety perhaps, it decided to try out the Virginia facility, but didn't agree with it I guess because before long it was back at Stafford.
It arrived on Friday the 7th of November, and as far as I can tell it remains at Stafford to this very day. Probably needs a rest after all that travelling.
Tracking support must be very concerned, because they have suggested that we keep an eye on this one. I completely agree. However, what I don't agree with is the fact that they think there is no need to investigate until it hasn't arrived by Tuesday the 25th.
It has now already been ten days since my parcel set out on this fantastic journey. I would have alerted Australia Post to this fact, but the problem is that you can't do that when the system helpfully resets itself at midnight restarting the clock.
Your naughty system has promised me a range of expected arrival dates, the latest being the 10th or 11th of November. We have definitely missed both and I'm guessing it will be making yet another promise soon. I wouldn't mind so much, if not for the fact that I have to be here to welcome my parcel to its new home, by signing for it.
You know, I really think it's well past time it finally arrived, don't you? Let's see what we can do to ensure that happens well before the 25th shall we?
Thank you in advance
