Small win today

After not having left the house in a couple months today I jumped on the train and went in to the city to visit the Apple Store. Managed to pick up the new iPhone 17 Pro Max.

Funny story, I got there at 5pm and there was a line up for people picking up orders they had placed online. The guy on the door told me I’d have to order online and come back tomorrow because they had to get through the online orders first. I said do you mind if I wait then? He said you can if you want on your own time but full transparency I don’t like your chances. Well I hung over near the iPhone demo tables for 5 mins until I managed to get the attention of a salesman and said I wanted to trade my current iPhone in and purchase the new iPhone. He said he could do that for me and long story short within 10 mins I was out of the store with my brand new iPhone.

Wish I had seen the guy again on the way out because I would have flashed him my purchase. It has taught me a valuable lesson, if you always take no for an answer and don’t exhaust your options and try your luck, you’ll never get where you need to get to and you’ll likely be inconvenienced. I’d have made an hour train trip in to the city for nothing if I accepted that one response and walked away and didn’t try.

Also stopped [edited by moderator] on the way home for a chicken parmigiana and then had a walk around the city with my AirPods in listening to music so a decent outing accomplished today.
