Bullying??

Bullying??

After being homeless living in my car for 2yrs I moved into community housing 2yrs ago, I've had my place broken into so many times the doors and frames are crumbling , changed locks, had things stolen and objects placed at home that aren't mine in a bid to set me up all done by my neighbours.

TW: Sexual Abuse

Content/trigger warning
One played the honey pot role to get close, another played the friend with so much in common we had to bond over, all the while they drugged and r@ped me.

But that's not what I'm wondering in this post. Just to give you ,anyone that reads this an idea of my situation.

I have no family, no kids I'm a 40y/o female, recently gave up drugs and anyone and anything to do with them and realised my life is empty. I have no friends and I'm wondering what is it about me people just don't like,?? I'm loyal, witty, cluey and have vast interests and talking points.?

But no one, not even pets.

All the while my neighbours are now complaining about me to the community housing provider saying I've breached a sections of my lease which could possibly get me kicked out and homeless again. I have been nothing but friendly to these people until lately since I found out they are the ones playing games and making trouble in my life.!

I'm home, alone, bored wondering why I have no one to talk too..?

Wats wrong with me???

Re: Bullying??

Hey @Stella44, thanks for sharing your experiences with the community!

It sounds like you have been through a lot with being homeless, the abuse you went through and the targeting in the community housing. I think it's valid to ask yourself "what's wrong with me" and I think it's what most people would think in your situation. And you are being really brave in reaching out and being vulnerable with your peers.

I am curious whether you have spoken to the police about the abuse you experienced? They are the best people to support you to prevent it from occurring again and maybe getting some justice. If you ever want some support around it you could reach out the 1800RESPECT to speak with someone who understands and might refer you to a local service too.

I encourage you to continue to reach out to your peers here on the Forums and explore different threads. Being home alone can get very boring indeed, so if you'd like to connect, here are some spaces you might like to check out:

Thanks again for sharing and being vulnerable with the community!

Take care

Re: Bullying??

@Stella44 hi just read your post and thought without knowing what it is you have put down or how long it had been a thing id say nothing is wrong with you oyher than you.

if you were dependant on a substance for lets use 5yrs, over the course of that 5 5 years people in your life that werent partaking you would of systematically created distance between at the same time surrounding yourself with those who shared the habit protectingn you from judgement critisism and stigma so when you walk away from the substance walking away from the circle is part of succesful recovery.

the crowd or peoploe you thought were friends when on it were most likely fairweather and just felt closer through the mutual interest.

only now with clear nind it feels like where is everyone

i have no pets

because you were homeless and they are unneceasary responsibility

you have nade a good nove posting here click on the page links sent earlier and you will find a topic you can relate to and i have never been or seen any one judged or not accepted

what your nieghbours have put you through needs addressing

your not alone in these forums

be kind to yourself!

Re: Bullying??

Thanks for your insight and perspective. How should I address the neighbours issue..? As I agree something must be done, just unsure what and how to handle it, so any advise or ideas on what you might do.? Could give me an alternate way of thinking, and your non bias so anything you could give I would greatly appreciate.

Thank you and bless🙏

Re: Bullying??

Do you mean the 'neighbours issue' as in the neighbours banding together to say untrue things about you @Stella44 ?
