Bipolar and BPD diagnosed

Bipolar and BPD diagnosed

The 30th of July I got diagnosed with bipolar and borderline personality disorder. Also, I have depression and anxiety diagnosed almost 6 years ago.

At the moment I am in a depression episode and I don't know how to get from the dark whole.

welcome to the forums @Angelita!

new diagnoses can feel like A LOT to process, so please do take your time with it. it's okay to feel overwhelmed, confused or lost. you are very human for feeling this, and you're absolutely not alone.

what's been helpful in getting out depressive episodes in the past for you?

for me, it's been about breaking things down into little steps and taking things slow, and speaking to myself kindly even when things don't go as i expected (i.e. if i don't get out bed by a certain time, i avoid talking down to myself and rephrase it as 'it's okay to struggle, i'm having a hard time but i know that i can do this. i've overcome this before and i can do it again. let's try again now').

The thing is that I have had this episodes frequently and I just don't want to live it anymore.

Hey @Angelita,

A big warm welcome to the forums. ☺️

It sounds like things are feeling really big for you right now... it must be so exhausting going through these episodes so frequently. What usually helps you to get through? And do you have a safety plan or self-care plan you can turn to when you are feeling this way? 🥰
