New Grad OR nurse

New Grad OR nurse

Hi, I recently started a new grad nurse job in August. I am really struggling to adapt to the new environment and have been told that I am too slow and feel as if I am being bullied by the senior nurses. I have tried reaching out to my educator for support but I feel as no one is listening to me. I feel as I am not good enough to be in my job.

Has anyone else felt like this when starting a new grad role?

I don't have any similar experience but I wanted to reply and say that I hear you and I am so sorry that you are being bullied and are not receiving any support from supervision. There are new workplace laws to protect psychosocial health. I would keep dates and occurrences in a diary as evidence.

I have experienced that in the past. I stuck my head down for a while, and learnt the ropes, then I moved on @Punkrockunicorn

If it continues, would you consider organising a meeting and asking for specific feedback and support? You can then set some goals to work towards?

I'm sorry to hear you do not feel supported at all.
