Re: I'm the partner of a paranoid schizophrenic

Re: I'm the partner of a paranoid schizophrenic

Hi, I just wanted to talk a little bit about me for a moment now. You'll. Know me from my previous posts re my partner.

When I left an unhappy marriage in 2013, my family disowned me.

I had years of psychology sessions and even my psychologist said it defied logic.

I've had nightmares and struggled for years regarding this. I'm always the person with the smile on my face nurturing a looking out for others. No one knows what I've been through.

Now my daughter, an adult with 2 children says I've abandoned her, yet she never told me what was going on and only called when she needed something.

I can't win ...

hey @AudreyKane, lovely to see you around again.

i'm so sorry to hear about your family disowning you. pushing on with a smile on your face while you were in pain must've been really difficult. and i can see that hearing your daughter say those words would've been really hard to deal with too.

i'm curious to know, what makes her say that? has your daughter expressed why she feels abandoned? would you be open to sharing with her what's been going on for you?
