Something’s not right

Strange symptoms… but maybe they’re not so strange

Strange symptoms… but maybe they’re not so strange

Strange symptoms… but maybe they’re not so strange?

example

after a night out socialising and having a few bevs with friends

in bed you’re laying on your side and your legs are stacked but your top leg is vigorously shaking

trying to cleanse your soul of something

it ends when you realise ot is happening and how much energy it takes

But you think

wtf

why

what am I trying to shake off

or rid myself of?

when did this habit start?

oh

a few years ago now

and it has stuck around

i dont understand its purpose but it it is something in between habit and an attempt to cleanse the body from guilt

Hi 26,

That is a very interesting interpretation of events. It sounds like the experience comes with some heavy emotions - guilt, fear, yet beyond that you have a keeness to understand.

Have you ever tried forest bathing, grounding (bare feet on earth), or meditation? One or all three therapies might help you unlock what is guarded underneath. It is likely that somewhere inside of you already recognizes the answer but it is trapped behind a mental block.

Stillness, quiet, and being open to let what troubles you bubble up can help reveal the unspoken truths you keep within yourself. If going out into nature is not an option, I highly suggest going over to Boho Beautiful Meditation's channel on YouTube and finding a meditation video and giving it a try. She has all kinds for all sorts of states of mind.
