This is my first official rostered on shift!
Very exciting.
I have a question though.
When I quote it brings up the member's entire post,
how do I just quote the portion I want to quote?
Do I need to delete the other parts?
Thanks for any help. I have never really quoted before.
I usually don't use my computer but will be for the Peer Guide gig most of the time.
I actually can't see the quote thingy on my expanded toolbar.

With the quotes, what I usually do it press the quote, leave the member's name and then delete the rest of the post that I don't want.
If you shrink the toolbar, does the quote function pop up?

So if I want to quote a post I just click reply on that post and I can quote it? It doesn't have to be the last post?

You're on a computer, right?
I just hightlight the bold part that I don't want in bold and press shift+b
Or highlight it and click on "B" in the tool bar @Oaktree

Yep I am on my laptop.
I just have never used the quote function before because I usually post from my phone.

I am only meant to do an hour but I am hoping to use my peer guide hours for my TAFE prac so I did 2 hours in case that comes through. Just waiting on a decision from SANE on that. I haven’t seen you around before, are you new?

i'd write something here (this sentence is from the pic earlier). so now i can type normally here and edit the above part - if you don't leave a line before pasting the quote, you end up continuing to type in the quote. i'm not sure if that was clear so pls let me know if you'd like me to explain again!
