Hi @Quinn,
Sorry to hear that you're feeling like things are going downhill. I firstly just wanted to say thanks for reaching out here - it can be a tough thing to do when feeling like that, but you and your experiences are worthwhile and deserve to be heard.
It seems like you're feeling pretty lonely and lacking connections with other people - is that right? I feel that way too at times, and I know a lot of other people can relate to those feelings as well. Feeling alone can definitely lead to thoughts of "why bother" and it's not a fun road to be on.
What it is about talking to counsellors or psychologists in person that you don't find helpful? The bike riding, swimming etc. is great, but that alone doesn't guarantee long term feeling better. Maybe a counsellor/psychologist could help bridge that gap between now and helping to build a life that includes the other sort of human connections that you're seeking?
I'm sorry to hear that you're having thoughts of suicide. Your life is important, and you can get back up the hill. It's important to reach out and get the help that you need and deserve. If you are at risk please consider contacting Lifeline (13 11 14) or Suicide Call Back Service (1300 659 467), or any of your existing supports (GP, previous counsellor/psychologist).
Let us know how you're doing. I'm pretty new to the forums but there seems to be a great bunch of supportive people here who'll be happy to chat and get through some of those lonely and "why bother" feelings together.
Take care,
TheVorticon
