Something’s not right

pathological liar..?

pathological liar..?

hi. recently my “biological mother” has been posting online (publicly) spreading lies & misinformation about both me, and my chosen mum.

this started back in march and has been continuing. it started off with a lie about her housing situation, saying she had to pack all her stuff and leave in 2 hours. this was right after mum and i had been shopping with her, dropped her home and she said her lease was renewed..

she has lied about having abuse screamed at her when mum and i both know she lives with no one but her 3 young children.

lied about having abuse screamed “crazy stalkers” watching her posts (they’re all PUBLIC).

has been saying my mum and i have “turned against her” and that my mum has “poisoned me” against her.

tried blaming me on finding the PUBLIC posts about her lying about being homeless.

she is severely mentally ill, both my mum and i are unsure of what to do next but something has to be done before she hurts herself or others around her (more than she already has).

it honestly could very well be psychosis or something idk i’ve completely cut contact with her.

Hi @nobodyshome and welcome

It sounds like this has been an extremely confusing and difficult time for you, and I'm sure that reading these thing would be very distressing. Do you know if your biological mum has professional supports?

It can be really hard not knowing what is going on for your biological mum, as you've expressed being unsure whether she is a pathological liar, or may be experiencing psychosis, though as you've said either way it sounds as though she's not well and that is hard for a family member to witness.

How can the forums best support you through this?
