Re: Grief and loss

Hello @Maddie11 and welcome to the forums. I'm so sorry to hear about the loss of your nan, I can only imagine how you must be feeling right now. It sounds like you were so close and it's understandable that you feel lost without her. Have you got any friends or other family that you can go to for support? Just know that what you are feeling is normal, grief and loss can affect us in many ways and everyone goes through it differently. The other option is you could see a gp and get a referral to talk to a counsellor/psychologist so you can get some support for yourself.

Please know that you are not alone and we are here to support you however we can. Take care of yourself ❤️

Re: Grief and loss

Hi @Maddie11, I'm so sorry about your Nan. I know that the Cancer Council offer free counseling to support people who have lost someone to cancer. I've used them myself, although more as the person with cancer, and they're very understanding and very helpful. Even if you're already seeing someone about your existing depression, it may be a good idea to talk to someone else as well who specialises in grief and the Cancer Council counselors are all very experienced with this, so I think it would help you in dealing with the loss of your nan.
