Tips for those starting this journey!
What are some things that you wish you had known at the beginning of your journey as a defence family member? What tips would you give to those just beginning?
Some of mine:
Home is where your family is, rely on your immediate little family as your rock and stick together wherever you move.
Understand that plans change last minute, nothing is for sure happening until it happens, and even if it's the day before, things can still change.
There are some (ok maybe lots) of sacrifices you will have to make, but don't lose sight of the fact that your family ultimately comes first in the long run and be ready to remind your spouse of that if they lose sight of it after being a part of the machine.
What has helped you get through this life as a veteran family?
