Something’s not right

hallucination?

hallucination?

last night before i went to sleep (but was 100% awake definitely not sleeping) i kept looking up from my phone and seeing people in my room. first someone was walking from my bathroom across to the other door, then there was a group of children/small people sitting in a circle on the floor at the end of my bed, and someone standing watching over them.
I told my mum but she told me it was probably a dream, but i definitely was not asleep or even half asleep. I was terrified. each time i blinked one would disappear and another one would be there.

i've never had any form of hallucination/psychosis before, i have depression ptsd anorexia anxiety and bpd, but not a psychotic disorder. it really scared me, i remember how fast my heart was beating and i hid under my covers until i fell asleep.

Re: hallucination?

Hi @cait
That must have been terrifying!
I hope you have been getting better sleep since.

Hallucinations can be caused by many different things. While we are not in a position to say whether they were hallucinations or not, it's too early to jump straight to 'psychosis'.

Has this happened again since you posted this the other day?
