Managing long term burnout
I would love to hear from anyone who has gone through this!
Ever since 2023 I have been so insanely burnt out, that I can't bring myself to do much more than work and sometimes video games. I'm pretty sure living back home is a big part of it, because having my own place seemed to really help with independence. It's like I just felt free, with plenty of opportunities. Living in my childhood suburb is so deeply uncomfortable, and it's not as easy to travel without a car. I'm so tired of the monotony. It's like I'm stuck here and can't get myself to do anything. Desperately need another job and to just move on with my life.
Why am I still mourning a time that is well and truly over? Everything and everyone is different, but I cling to who I used to be. Unfortunately, I could only handle so much stress and loss, and have been burnt out ever since. Despite all the self improvements, it's like a part of me is missing. Even though some things are really good now, and I'm stable most of the time, I feel so detached from where I should be. Really hoping this year I finally move out and just live. Just want to let go! And to stop feeling frozen in time.
