Re: work bully

Hey @Beauty ,

I've sure experienced work bullies in the past.

In my heart of hearts, I feel that these people will get what they deserve - eventually. I feel that they won't get away with it forever.

Another thing that I make sure I do it report them as an OH&S hazard - psychological safety. I'm not sure if you have this process at your workplace.

Above all, remember your own self-care. If you need to take a break, go for it.

Hugs.

Re: work bully

After finishing Tafe and getting my "dream job" . My boss use to bully some of the women at the Chemist into crying. I realised I was feeling dread everything I went to work. I realised it wasn't personal but it set my bipolar down a dark path so I left. There are always other jobs

Hi and welcome @Vivid

You are absolutely right, there are always other jobs. Recently I was reflecting on all the jobs I stayed in despite them being bad for my mental wellbeing, and now it seems so hard to understand why I stayed so long. It can be easy to get caught up in a sense of duty or to downplay what you're experiencing and tell yourself to just stick it out. I'm glad you were able to leave that job when you realised just how much it was affecting you

Re: work bully

There are always other jobs yes

And also a job is something we do to pay bills.

My generation has fallen for a bs lie that job is everything.

I was unfortunately not given a job I applied to after they contacted me

I grew a bit cynical

But I've also grown out of that element of me that wants others approval.

I do sincerely hope you are travelling okay. See you round here some time

I lost my job but I was relieved I didn't have to work their anymore, dating someone new but I'm not sure as I have been let down in relationships before, so I am going into it with a heavy heart.
