Mental health crisis

Mental health crisis

TW ABUSE

My partner has autism and I probably do too but he's scaring me. It's no reason to make me frightened when he is heightened. It is like walking on egg shells and the worst is he knows I have nowhere to go. I'm vulnerable and my cat is with me and he knows I wouldn't leave my cat too. I don't justify his behaviour but we were best friends for years before we met and I never saw him act like this. A couple of times but not a lot. He switches personality. The ambulance and police come by and he switches attitudes and is charming to them. I feel like I've been stuck in a house with a psychopath and I can't prove it. I have some videos of him slamming my door. I don't know what to do anymore. We suffered a misscairage in June. Things have been so horrible and I am just so tired I never have the energy. I just can't be bothered with all the noise and accusations seriously what happened to the CATT team? Surely there's some sort of outreach service? The police said to me they need to at h him in the moment. Ahhhhgh

Re: Mental health crisis

@shannenleigh i am sorry you are in such a difficult situation you are right that autism isnt an excuse to be abusive or to behave in a threatening way towards other people. is there anyway you can take some time away with your cat like go to a pet friendly hotel or such for a few days to just get a break and clear your head so you can make a plan in a safe space? idk there is also a hotline for people suffering domestic abuse but i cant remember what it is called but i am sure if you googled it it would come up. maybe talking to them might give you some ideas. sorry i am not much help but we hare here to listen if you just need a space to vent or share.

Or if you are able, make a trip down to the police station and make a report @shannenleigh
