Everything feels exhausting
As the title says everything feels exhausting. I've been diagnosed with depression and general anxiety + social anxiety, though I've struggled with it since I was a kid (undiagnosed). I'm in my early 20's still at home and doing anything feels too exhausting, I do very little everyday, I'll be starting work at the end of this month with the help of an employment agency.
I take daily medication for anxiety and depression, and I'm currently therapist shopping trying to find the type of therapy that works for me and a therapist I gel with. I recently started Internal family systems therapy, though it's too early to tell whether it's effective for me or not.
I guess I'm just struggling with everything, I mean I cook once a week (because I'm trying to learn to cook), my Mum cooks the rest of the week, I don't do any exercise or go outside because it just feels too exhausting like mentally and emotional fatiguing to really do anything, and whenever I do big tasks I have to take the rest of the day SUPER slow in order to avoid further burnout, big tasks like calling centrelink or calling anyone really, or days when I have appointments like GP appointments, therapy etc. Or random to do things like moving files from my phone to a hard drive (which isn't complex though I have to plan when to do it, and make time to do it and it all just uses tons of energy for me leaving me with little to no energy left for the day).
I guess life in general isn't too good, I don't really have any friends, there's a couple acquaintances that'll text me every few months asking how's life or what I've been up to though that's about it. I have trouble keeping relationships because I have a fear of abandonment so I usually leave or make literally the least amount of effort possible to open up or keep a relationship going, which makes it difficult for others to connect with me so they kinda just give up trying to be my friend.
My diet and sleep is pretty poor too.
I get to bed late most nights (after 10, usually around 11pm - 1am). And I eat snacks or junk food everyday because making food feels too exhausting, so I'll literally eat like 1 or 2 things during the day (like chips and yoghurt) and then dinner at night.
There's also been a lot of life changes in the past 2 years like divorced parents, moved house, faith crises and rediscovering my values and identity.
And I just feel bitter and angry all the time, it started 2 years ago around when I had the fifth crisis and parents seperated. With feeling angry it's like I feel this type of "F**# you" feeling towards everyone, I mean I guess I don't blame everyone for what I'm going through though in a weird way maybe I do, and it's like I'm angry at everyone and everything (which is super new for me because I've grown up as a people pleaser being the mediator and peacekeeper for the family and I'd never let myself feel angry).
Also trying new things or even familiar things is difficult like trying new hobbies or skills e.g. I like music and have a couple instruments though it's too difficult for me tonplay becausebI get super overwhelmed trying to pick up and keep up the skills or it becomes too exhausting and starts to feel too much like a chore, another example is I started trying to find new hobbies like stitching, and I have a beginners kit to try it out though I looked at the instructions and instantly freaked out and felt overwhelmed and I had to put it down before even beginning because it just felt too complicated and difficult/ overwhelming to try. Like I'd have to watch a video and do a bunch of prep work over the course of several days just to prepare me to stitch together a simple beginners guide bookmark.
I guess I'm wondering, is it normal to feel so exhausted and overwhelmed from seemingly little things. In the past I've done the things people always say to do like good sleep, exercise, meditation, good diet, though I just can't do those things now, like it all just feels too difficult and too overwhelming. Is it just me?
P.S. sorry for the rant
