Rejection Sensory Dysphoria

Rejection Sensory Dysphoria

The only good thing about RSD is that the more I listen and read the more I realise I'm not the only one that feels like my soul is being sucked out everytime I'm rejected. Far out I thought I was the emotional disaster, turns out I'm not. One week till I get my asd assessment back and I cannot wait to find out some understanding my whole life for the whole time.

I did also just read a women's grief from after finding out and the process too. That is something I am actually ok with can't be worse than any other surely haha famous last words.

anyway rsd right sucks. I feel like I go from 0-100 in a second and I hate it.

Hi @Former-Member I'm glad to hear that even though experiencing it sucks, you're feeling less alone in going through RSD the more you learn about it.

Getting your ASD assessment back soon is a pretty huge step. How long has the process been for you?

Thank you for sharing @Former-Member ,

It's really good to hear you are always active about ways to self-advocate and help yourself. I hear how daunting it can be.

I look forward to hearing how it all goes for you!

Did you get up to much today?

Re: Rejection Sensory Dysphoria

Thank @Ru-bee

I guess I'm kinda lucky as I did a provisional a month ago and I got my comprehensive assessment last week. So in that terms thought costly it was and has been quick and can only hope it is the key for my ndis as I am very much isolated and need of supports.

However it is true what I read about the grief of realising why you've been so misunderstood it's huge and I feel mad at health professionals that for years labelled me with so many things and I've been struggling through trying everything they said and it never worked. The time lost. Anyway moving forward, reading lots and finding understanding.

Hello @tyme

in one breath, nothing, I mean I listened to half a book and watched almost a whole tv show while working on my affirmation cards specifically for trauma. I have many categories but that's what I felt to do today. Just trying to get through each day.

Do you listen to audiobooks much @Former-Member ?

I've recently grown a liking for them.

Haha @tyme @yes it's been good to avoid music and have something still on my ear. Crazy how fast you go through them.

Re: Rejection Sensory Dysphoria

I get so hooked @Former-Member !

I don't like listening to music, and I never thought I'd get into audiobooks, but my oh my! I listen to them all the time.

I churn through them because I put them at 1.5x speed lol.

Any recomendations?
