Do you feel it is the anxiety as to whether you will 'get it right' the next time?

I struggle to date, it will be 3 years next month, since I broke up with my narcissistic girlfriend, after her, the trauma was so horrible.

i believe that I am scared of it happening again, because I wouldn’t be able to handle it again in my life.

Once was enough, I had a psychologist who gave me a lot of counselling, yet everything fades.

Yes and @Searching66 not sure what answers is. Am sorry but it is damaging when in relationship with this kind and frightful to get close in new relationships. For me it is like this now

I finished two months ago a relationship with a person with NPD. It still is the hardest thing that I had lived. Although I think is "too fresh" for me to start another relationship, my concern is if I could be able to do it some day in the future. Mainly because the lack of trust and the fear of repeating the story. Or maybe that my "heart brokenness" make me become like the one who hurt me badly before. It is a conundrum 😐.
