Something’s not right

How do I deal

How do I deal

My sister moved out some time ago, she has now moved into the self contained granny flat attached to the main house, just after my Mum died. She comes in and out of our house with no warning, she keeps going through stuff and taking what she wants, she came in with her partner and took her mattress base while I was asleep. I sleep with my door open and in my boxers, its summer so no covers. I sleep with the door open or my dogs sake. If Dads not home (I live with my Dad) I lock all the doors, she freaked out when she tried to come in without knocking or anything. Today, she came onto the property and went into a shed with her stuff without telling me while Dad was out.

Ive raised my concerns with Dad and he isnt doing a thing he is letting her do what ever

Am I right in feeling like my personal space is being invaded? Am I right to feel like my voice isnt being heard??

Oooo my dear @ClockFace !

We've missed you! Thank you for remembering us and posting!

I'm so sorry to hear about the passing of your mother. I wasn't up to date with this. I apologise if I missed it.

To be honest, has your sister changed? Probably not. Did you expect more of her? Probably not.

Did you expect your dad would do more? Probably not.

It doesn't sound like they have changed much. Is that fair to say?

I'm sorry you feel your space has been invaded. I'm sure I would too. Do you think this is her way of processing loss and grief?

Dear @ClockFace , what have you been doing to look after yourself? I read that you can't stop what they do, but what are you doing to help yourself? I hope you are looking after your health as much as possible. I remember the last time we spoke, you were getting your sores seen to.

Please know that we care.

Re: How do I deal

I just did a post in our stories to catch people up on things as Ive been inactive for ages. Im improving, Im in the process of getting clearance from work to come back. Medically Ive been cleared.

Ive started a pain clinic for my wedge fracturing in my spine. Im hoping that it will lower my pain. We will see.

I have a dog now, Paddington, he sleeps with me, and he helps me out emotionally. Mum bought him for me before she died. He's just on 2 years old. He spends a fair bit of time with me, if he isnt he is playing with the other dogs, but he checks on me regularly.

To help myself I have put a biometric lock on my office door. When I have the money Im going to put a doggie door on my bedroom door and a biometric lock on that door too. Paddington likes to be able to come and go at night and freaks out if I shut the door at night.
