How old were you when you were diagnosed?

I have recently been diagnosed with bipolar 2. I have had MDD most of my adult life and also attempted suicide and self harm. Although my bipolar diagnosis is recent, looking back I displayed symptoms of it when I was in my late teens. When I was at college I had a good friend who described me as "changemoodable" which I now know to be labile. If a completely untrained person could pick up on my mood swings at the age of 19 perhaps I have had bipolar my whole life too. I wish I had known back then what I know now and had gotten support and medication much earlier. How old were you when you found out or realised you had a mental health condition?

sounds like you had bipolar 2 all your life

My husband has been given lots of different diagnosis in his life and now they have added ADHD and ASD
